eProsima is proud to announce the release of the new version Fast DDS v2.6.0. This updated version includes new features such as XML support for Fast DDS CLI, Modifying remote server locators at run time and a Static Discovery new format. This version also includes a large number of improvements and bugfixes. Find below the detailed list of the main advancements accomplished in this new version:
NEW FEATURES ADDED
- Modifying remote server locators at run time: now it is possible to programmatically modify the participant’s list of remote servers to which the running server or client should connect while a server or client is running
- Static Discovery new format: the new exchange format reduces the necessary network bandwidth to transmit Static
- XML support for Fast DDS CLI
- Add statistics physical information to DATA[p] using properties
IMPROVEMENTS
- Support lowercase keywords on SQL filter
- Separate initialization and enabling of BuiltinProtocols
- Support for octet vectors on XML parser
- Update README and roadmap
FIXES INCLUDED
- Fixes for supporting Python bindings in Windows platforms
- Fix publishing physical data on statistics topic
- Fix recommended statistics DataReaderQos to enable backwards compatibility
- Other fixes and improvements
