Release of eProsima Fast DDS 2.8.0

eProsima is proud to announce the new Fast DDS 2.8.0, the standalone cpp middleware implementation providing OMG DDS 4 and OMG RTPS 2.2 interoperable wire-protocol standards. This new release includes numerous new features and many improvements for an upgraded version of Fast DDS:

NEW FEATURES ADDED   

These are some of the most relevant features included in the Fast DDS 2.8.0 version:

• Ownership QoS full support 

•  External locators 

•  UDPv6 support 

•  Statistics DataWriters QoS configurable by XML

•  Advanced Configuration example

•  SNI support 

•  Get WAN address API in TCPv4 transport descriptors

IMPROVEMENTS

Many improvements have been made, such as:

• Improve rediscovery on lossy environments
• New CMake option
• Improve read/take performance when using topic with a great number of keys
