The Mainspring Linear Generator, a low-emission, resilient, and affordable reinvention of the classic electric generator, is using Fast DDS in order to implement real-time capabilities for its control module. The company has moved from MQTT and found in Fast DDS a solution that improves the performance while providing real-time capabilities.
Fast DDS is a high-quality communication middleware, based on the DDS (Data Distribution Service) standard by the OMG (Object Management Group). Fast DDS is the most complete open source DDS middleware for real-time distributed systems.
