eProsima declared attaining the Q2 level for Fast DDS back in October. Today and after intensive code testing, eProsima is glad to announce that a 79.1% code coverage in Fast DDS has already been reached.
Open Robotics sets the quality or maturity of packages in the ROS ecosystem based on five categories or quality levels, being Q1 the highest one.
Each of the quality categories addresses policies about versioning, change control, documentation, testing, dependencies, platform support and security. The complete list of requirements of each level and its descriptions can be found on the corresponding webpage of ROS, here.
Q1 requires a high coverage percentage which helps to minimize the risk of undetected software bugs. eProsima’s result so far represents a big step forward for obtaining the Q1 certification.
