eProsima feels honored to have been chosen partner of the month for May 2022 as part of Renesas RA Partner ecosystem due to its work and support of micro-ROS in regards to the RA family.
This honor reinforces the reliability of the micro-ROS framework and the increasing presence of embedded components in open source robotics applications.
eProsima and Renesas partnership started last year with the port of the micro-ROS library to Renesas RA MCUs, and a full integration in the e2 studio build system. This facilitates the development of embedded robotics in Renesas RA family MCUs focused on Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT applications.
The micro-ROS framework allows a standardized integration of MCUs into the Robot Operating System (ROS) 2 data space. It provides an established application development framework based on standard communication middleware to the embedded world.
RA family is the recommended MCU for which eProsima provides technical support. This family of MCUS targets Service robots for Logistics, Defense & Security, Agriculture and Healthcare applications.
