The European Robotics Forum 2021 will count another year with the presence of eProsima, that will be representing the micro-ROS project as founders and maintainers together with project partners Bosch and Piap.
The 2021 edition will be the 10th of its kind and has become the most influential meeting of the robotics community in Europe. It will take place online from the 13th to the 15th of April.
eProsima will participate the next Tuesday, April 13th, at 14:05 CEST with the workshop “Deeply embedded software”, an overview of the micro-ROS project, with its latest developments and new features. The workshop will also count with the presence of WYCA Robotics and Hydra System, two European robotics companies, that will present their micro-ROS-related projects.
micro-ROS is the outcome of the EU funded project called OFERA. This project puts ROS 2 (Robot Operating System) onto microcontrollers, helping to lower the complexity of systems, to increase the interoperability and therewith to reduce costs. Furthermore, micro-ROS integrates the eProsima Micro XRCE-DDS middleware by default, a middleware specifically designed for resource constrained environments.
