Madrid, February 2020
UPDATE 24/02/2020: The participation of eProsima at the Embedded World in Nuremberg is cancelled due to the recent cases of coronavirus in Italy.
eProsima will attend the Embedded World in Nuremberg from the 25th till the 27th of February 2020.
The topics of this year’s Embedded World are electronic systems, distributed intelligence, the Internet of Things and energy efficiency, to name just a few.
With around 1000 exhibitors, including attendees like Bosch, Siemens and Intel, and professionals from all over the world sharing expertise, this fair will cover everything from hardware components and software to complete systems.
Wind River, world leader in embedded software, invites eProsima to their booth 324, hall 5 to present a team effort combining micro-ROS & Zephyr RTOS with ROS 2 & VxWorks.
To be more precise, the demo implements a wall laser sensor which publishes a trigger when interrupted, enabling a TurtleBot3, subscribed to this topic, to react based on this information.
While the sensor features micro-ROS on Zephyr, as both are specifically focused on extremely resource constrained devices, the TurtleBot3 incorporates ROS 2 on the leading real-time operating system VxWorks.
Thanks to this collaboration and the ready to use communication capabilities between micro-ROS and ROS 2, it is possible to extend ROS 2 to a wide range of IoT devices.
Hope to see you there!
